What drives you?

I have been in a bit of a “slump” lately.  I have been struggling with not getting my booty up out of bed in the morning to go exercise.  It has takes it’s toll on my emotions and I have allowed that to bring me down.  That lack of enthusiasm and commitment, seems to have made me brain dead as well.  I have not been able to write any BLOG posts, and of course, I blame that on my brain being dead.. lol.  I am sure that the majority of you have experienced this “dilemma” at some time or other in your life journey.  The only option that I see me having, is to GET OVER IT!!!  I am happy to say that today, I am getting over  it!  I have more energy and determination today, than I have had in a long time.  I have been doing some dumbbell exercises at home after work this week and it feels really good; but something was still missing.  I work from home, and I basically sit on my booty all day talking on the phone, so I have been felling caged in, again, lately.  Our Church had a scheduled “night at the park” last night and so my wife and I went and man, I have to say, that was just what the Dr. ordered!   I played volleyball for over an hour and had the time of my life.  I have always loved volleyball but have not played in a very long time.  I can’t even remember the last time I had that much fun!  Being active and interacting with others, was exactly what I needed to get out of this slump.  My mind is open; my body feels good; determination to keep pounding away at my health is at a high!  I am actually looking forward to exercising again, and I cannot wait to inspire others to do the same.

I started this BLOG site because I have a desire, no, a passion, to inspire others to want to make Changes in their lives that will allow them to live a healthy lifestyle and live the lives they deserve to live.  THAT DRIVES ME!  To watch someone put their past behind them, and overcome insecurities and failures, is absolutely mind-blowing!  Nothing  makes me happier, than to witness someones life change, right before their eyes.   So, what does it mean to have “passion“?  Passion is defined as: any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling; a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm or desire towards something.  I have a passion for inspiring others; for being physically, and emotionally fit; for being an example of living a healthy life.  I am not saying I am perfect at this.  I know I have a lot of things to change in my character so that I can become all these things.  My question to you is; “what are you passionate about”?  What drives you? Is there something in your life that is so powerful and compelling that you just have to put everything you have into it?  If not, why?  I can honestly say that, when I lose focus on what drives me, I become stagnant.  I stop living with a purpose.  If we don’t have a purpose in life, then what are we doing here?  Being passionate about something or someone, can be the fuel we need to be our absolute best and never give up or give in.  We were created to excel.  We have everything we need within us, to become the success story of the year.  We can do anything we put our hearts into.  If we would only stop listening to the negative things in our lives, and start listening to the positive things, we would all do so much better in this life.  We cannot be stopped, when we are doing what we are created to do.  I stopped.  I listened to the negative and stopped giving it my all.  NO MORE.  We can, and we WILL, do this!  Don’t give up.  Don’t allow your insecurities and fears dictate your success.   Get rid of all the negative in your life and give everything you have to pushing forward.  It may be exhausting and even scary.  But, the more we push forward, the easier it will become.  I will not give up on you, so do not give up on yourself!  Life is way to precious and short to not be living it to the full.  Find your passion.  Find your inner strength and use that to fuel your emotions and keep pushing forward.  You have all you need to succeed.  It is up to you to use it!
